We are currently in the process of acquiring the larger of the two log cabins at Borgie Breco as well as the land surrounding both cabins. Ownership of the cabin will enable us to use and hire out more space to the community, as well as expanding upon our existing activities. This process is being undertaken through the Community Asset Transfer scheme with current owners, Forestry and Land Scotland.
We are grateful to the Scottish Land Fund who funded the initial feasibility study and business plan as well as some of the costs of acquisition and remedial works. Additional thanks go to the Caithness and North Sutherland Fund who are supporting us with the remaining costs of the cabin.
We anticipate the transfer to be complete in Spring 2027.
